Marshfield Clinic Park Falls Center/Flambeau Hospital welcomes Dr. Thomas Prebble to the Emergency Department in early March. He joins Drs. Scott Carpenter, Maurice Murphy and Brian Knabe providing emergency care for the community.
Prebble joined Marshfield Clinic in 1986 and has been providing emergency care in Marshfield. He'll be transferring his practice to Park Falls.
"I chose to transfer my practice to Park Falls because I was looking for a nice change of pace. In my personal time, I enjoy kayaking, fishing and being outdoors, so this area is great for those activities."
Originally from Massachusetts, Prebble has been a Wisconsin physician for 26 years. He's married and has three daughters.
Prebble received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina - School of Medicine in Chapel Hill. He then completed his internship through Rush University Medical Center – Rush Medical College and his residency at Rush Presbyterian - St. Luke's Hospital, both in Chicago.
"We're very fortunate to have Dr. Prebble join our emergency team," said Dr. Scott Carpenter, medical director, Emergency Department, Flambeau Hospital/Marshfield Clinic Park Falls Center. "It's critical to have physicians with this level of capability in our Emergency Department to care for the wide variety of patient conditions we see. He has a wealth of experience that will greatly benefit the people in our community."
The Marshfield Clinic system provides patient care, research and education in more than 50 locations in northern, central and western Wisconsin, making it one of the largest comprehensive medical systems in the United States.
