Dr. Gerald Favret has rejoined Marshfield Clinic Oakwood Center where he previously saw patients for nearly a decade.
Favret, a Family Medicine physician, worked at Oakwood Center from 2000-2009. He spent the past three years at primary clinics in South Carolina, but has returned and began seeing patients this month in Oakwood Center's Family Medicine Department.
Favret has had a distinguished medical career spanning three decades. After earning his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Favret completed his residency and fellowship at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. For 15 years, he saw patients at the Marinette-Menomonie Clinic in northeast Wisconsin.
He looks forward to seeing many of his former patients as he embarks on his second stint with Marshfield Clinic. Patients will quickly see that his approach to medicine hasn't changed.
"I help my patients craft the appropriate kind of health care they want, and in order to do that well, a provider needs to be a good listener and be in tune with their needs," he said.
An exercise advocate, Favret enjoys hiking, biking and skiing. In February, he completed the Birkebeiner in Hayward.
