neonatal intensive care unit in Marshfield Children's Hospital can provide specialized care if needed. The 24/7 neonatal transport team provides ground and air transport for babies from all over the state and region to Marshfield.
Temporary Visitor Restrictions
Due to high levels of respiratory illness in our surrounding communities, birth centers at Marshfield Clinic Health System hospitals in Eau Claire, Marshfield and Rice Lake are implementing temporary visitor restrictions. .
These measures are in place to protect patients, especially newborns, due to high levels of respiratory illness in surrounding communities. The temporary visiting restrictions will be regularly assessed and lifted as soon as possible.

Birth center restriction guidelines:
- Visitors must be free of illness.
- Visitors must be 18 years and older.
- Only two designated labor and delivery support people and grandparents will be allowed.
Where is the Birth Center?
We are located on third floor in the Marshfield Medical Center-Eau Claire. Come in the front door, take the elevator to third floor and follow the signs. Visitors will be buzzed in to the Birth Center.
Breast Milk Donations
