Give your child the right place to grow
Childhood is a happy, vibrant time when kids want to explore everything around them. We want to help your children learn and develop by providing a rich environment and a compassionate, professional staff of teachers who encourage spontaneous curiosity and imagination.
Kids Care provides childcare services for children aged six weeks through 5 years.
Infant, toddler and preschool childcare services are available.
Programs
Kids Care offers infant, toddler and pre-school care.
Admission requirements
We accept children in order of availability, with priority given to children of Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam employees.
Enrollment is five days a week. Kids Care will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex or special needs.
State and federal regulations require a complete physical examination and an up-to-date immunization record for admission to the center. We encourage parents to bring their children with them to tour the center prior to admission.
Accreditations
Kids Care is licensed by the State of Wisconsin. To maintain this license, we must undergo several licensing visits each year to assure compliance with all regulations of the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families Division of Early Care and Education.
Parental involvement
Parent/teacher conferences are scheduled twice a year, spring and fall, and your involvement is crucial to your child's success. We encourage you to speak with teachers and the Kids Care director at any time regarding questions, concerns and suggestions. We even offer several planned activities to give you the chance to be actively involved.
Activities include field trip chaperones, classroom readers, on-site events to bring families together and attending our Annual Spring Fling.
Infant Program
Infants at Kids Care enjoy their own spacious nursery where a nurturing staff professionally trained in early childhood development, provides loving care. A cozy nap area, soothing rockers, enclosed outdoor play space, and a large, carpeted area are available for infants exercising their crawling skills while discovering carefully selected toys.
Toddler Program
At Kids Care, toddlers can explore an environment that is safe, stimulating and completely accessible. Playtime includes being part of a group where children learn to share. Self-help skills such as toileting, feeding and dressing are part of everyday activities. Play and educational activities promotes dexterity and serves to increase vocabulary and language skills.
Pre-school Program
The growth and development of young children includes a balance of academic, social, emotional and physical skills. At Kids Care we focus on teaching “concepts" and on developing attitudes that enable a child to become an eager learner that uses their imagination and creativity. Learning activities help develop language and fine motor skills as well as begin early preparation for math and reading programs.
4-year-old Kindergarten Program
Affiliated with Beaver Dam Unified School District, Kids Care offers a developmentally appropriate educational program taught by State of Wisconsin DPI licensed teaching staff. The foundation of our philosophy is for each child to develop a positive self-image. Activities promote individual growth and development as well as teach children to be a valued member of a group. A high emphasis is placed on respect for each child as human beings whose ideas and feelings have value.
