Our Commitment

Marshfield Clinic Health System believes individuals have the right to their highest potential level of health and well-being. We will achieve this by advancing health equity with our patients, health plan members, employees and communities.

Our Approach

Our Work

We partner with the Cross Cultural Health Care Program for cultural competency consulting and training.
We support our employee-led Business Resource Groups (BRGs) to promote employee engagement and belonging, and to advance initiatives that benefit all of our employees, patients and communities.

We partner with a social care platform called Caring for Communities by findhelp - Search and Connect to Social Care for MCHS staff, patients and community members to find resources to help address their needs.
We screen patients for social needs such as food, utilities, housing and transportation and our Community Connections Team (CCT), with the volunteer efforts of CCT Navigators, help connect patients and community members to resources in their community.

Our Center for Community Health Advancement works closely with community-based organizations to prioritize and address health inequities in our communities.
Our Community Engagement initiatives support our community organizations to advance social accountability and community impact.

Our Health Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity leaders have identified five key strategies that will shape and drive our efforts.

We will use data to promote social change and improve care.

We will assure that our staff and providers are trained and embrace cultural competency.

We will strive for a diverse and inclusive workforce, including leadership and governing entities.

We will partner with our communities to improve health equity and address disparities.
