LAKE HALLIE – Marshfield Clinic Lake Hallie Center has expanded its hours and now offers urgent care services on weekends starting Jan. 4.
Urgent care will be open Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 129161 27th Ave. Lake Hallie Center is conveniently located between Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls off of Highway 53.
Urgent care is available for injuries and illnesses, like minor cuts that need stitches or ear infections, that are not life threatening but need care fast.
“Extending our hours is part of our commitment to better serve the community," said Dr. Brandon Parkhurst, Marshfield Clinic Health System Vice President of Medical Affairs. “By offering times that align with various work and life schedules, we aim to provide more opportunities for those in need."
Opening urgent care services at the location will increase access for Chippewa Valley community members who need urgent and emergent care closer to home.
Marshfield Clinic Health System also has worked to expand same day access across all its clinics in western Wisconsin. This includes primary care locations in Eau Claire, but also reaches to communities such as Ladysmith, Rice Lake, Chippewa Falls, Menomonie and Cornell. Same day primary care appointments are a more cost-effective option for patients who may not need emergency services, but feel they need to be seen quickly.
Marshfield Clinic Health System remains committed to serving western Wisconsin in a way that puts patients first every day and delivers quality care in the Chippewa Valley. As an integral part of health care in the region, we are committed to being here for our communities.
