Therapeutic Outdoors
Suspended until later date
Woodruff Center incorporates the outdoors into physical rehabilitation with its unique Therapeutic Hill. The Therapeutic Hill provides an obstacle course in a fun, "real life" setting that challenges patients and helps them develop strength and agility. The hill features varying degrees of steepness, log and rock climbing, a tire wall, sand pit and tunnel. The adjacent level grass area is used for outdoor classes, soccer and physical therapy.
Aquatic Therapy
Patients at Woodruff Center can enjoy the many benefits of aquatic therapy. An on-site Aquatic Therapy program is provided by licensed physical therapists and many of our Aquatic Classes are taught by an Arthritis Foundation Trained Instructor. The uniquely designed on-site aquatic therapy pool provides a safe and easily-tolerated environment for accelerated rehabilitation. The therapeutic pool is also available for independent use.
