Timothy Foster saw the power of good medical care firsthand as he was growing up. His father lived with multiple sclerosis, and that experience is part of why Timothy wanted to work in the medical field.
"That experience of my dad receiving such good and compassionate care really made me want to help people," he said.
Timothy sees a wide variety of patients including children and adults. Common conditions he treats include anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, mood disorders and trauma and abuse.
His approach to patients it to be very open with them and work to establish a trusting relationship.
"We're all in this life together, and we all have so many similarities. I like to focus on that common bond we all have as people," he said. "I think that's what therapy boils down to, that human connection that we all need."
Timothy earned his undergraduate degree from University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. He earned his master's degree from Wheaton College in Illinois.
In his free time, Timothy enjoys running and he is an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. He and his wife also enjoy going to the movies together.
