“I believe you should always treat others the way you would want to be treated and the way they want to be treated."
Stephanie Kohlhepp is a physical therapist who sees patients with a variety of orthopedic diagnoses from tendinitis/tendinopathy, fractures, arthritis and sprains to post-operative conditions like joint replacements, fracture fixation, ligament/tendon repairs, carpal tunnel/trigger finger releases and cyst excisions. Additionally, she is a certified hand therapist.
Kohlhepp chose a career in health care because of her desire to help others and build strong relationships.
“I really feel a sense of purpose helping my patients return to daily life, work or passions after surgery or injury," Kohlhepp said. “I also enjoy meeting and talking to people. Many times I feel they teach me more than I teach them and truly enjoy the connections that are made."
In creating those connections, Kohlhepp emphasizes the importance of listening closely to her patients and working to help them reach their personal goals.
“Accessibility and inclusivity for all are very important to me," Kohlhepp said. “I work to be the patient's best advocate."
Kohlhepp earned her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
When she's not working, Kohlhepp enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons, reading, walking her dogs and being on the water.
