“I like involving my patients in positive, active ways to address their health concerns."
Sara Meyer is a physical therapist who works with orthopedic patients who have physical limitations post-surgery or due to pain. She specializes in hand therapy and treatment of lymphedema.
After needing physical therapy herself as a child, Meyer was drawn to the medical field and mission of helping others get back to the life they love.
“I like the active approach physical therapy offers in helping people return to doing their daily activities and the things they enjoy," Meyer said. “I have found learning how to make splints and work with hand issues to be extremely interesting."
Meyer works to ensure her patients know they have a knowledgeable partner in their care.
After earning her bachelor's degree at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, Meyer earned her Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
When she's not working, Meyer enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, hiking, skiing, reading and traveling.
