Anesthesiologist Roman Krasnov, M.D., was inspired by the work he did in medical school rotations to pave his road to working in anesthesia.
“I interacted a lot with anesthesia and critical care people during medical school and during rotations in the trauma bay and intensive care unit," Dr. Krasnov said.
He is passionate about always putting safety first while providing anesthesia care in the operating room.
“I take patient's comfort, personal values, cultural traditions and their trust in me very seriously and allow my patients to participate in every decision I make about their care," he said.
Dr. Krasnov earned his medical degree from Military Medical Academy S.M. Kirov in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and then completed an anesthesiology and critical care internship there. He completed his residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.
“I truly enjoy being able to help people to go through their surgical experiences and relieve their worries during the most stressful events of their lives," Dr. Krasnov said. “Occasionally I can see instant feedback from the job I do, and that is very rewarding. In addition I enjoy helping surgeons to do their job well."
A native of Pyt'-Yakh, Russia, Dr. Krasnov enjoys diving, road biking and skiing.
