Certified Nurse Midwife Magen Reigel has always been passionate about taking care of others. She was drawn to midwifery after experiencing the joy of her brother's birth.
“I am fascinated by the physiology of pregnancy and the miracle of childbirth," Magen said. “I have built my education to focus secondarily on mental health/psychology and maternal care. I strive to support my patients in all aspects of care with referral when warranted."
Magen believes everyone should have the best care possible in all scenarios. She is an advocate in all ways for her patients, and allows informed choice by providing evidence-based education. She values the importance of keeping patients updated on their care or changes as they are occurring. As a midwife, she offers personalized pregnancy and childbirth.
“I want my patients to feel comfortable during their care and feel open to speak with me about any of their concerns without judgement," she said. “Treating my patients as a whole with mind, body and spirit."
Magen has expertise in mental health care and goes above and beyond to help lessen people's emotional struggle whenever necessary. “I want to help people that are in need of extra support, education and guidance," she said.
In her practice, she aligns each patient's birth plan while keeping mom and baby safe. She enjoys being part of their journey to make the most memorable experience.
After growing up with Marshfield Clinic providers, Magen returned to graduate school with the hopes of bringing midwifery care back to Marshfield. She was a registered nurse in Marshfield for more than 10 years, including in Labor and Delivery.
Outside of work, Magen enjoys stargazing, painting, camping, learning about history and the universe. She and her husband, Logan, have a daughter, Retallia. Retallia also shares Magen's love for the birth of babies.
