“The positive reinforcement I get from contributing to the health and justice that all people deserve is the greatest influence of being part of medicine."
Lily Manon, M.D. is a pathologist who helps provide diagnostic information to patients and providers. Dr. Manon's work has a wide-ranging impact.
“Pathology is a field that encompasses all fields of medicine," said Dr. Manon. “I believe it is the backbone of any hospital and the doctor's 'doctor' in many instances.
Dr. Manon's work includes interpreting surgical pathology slides under the microscope and examining a variety of specimens and cases. As a result, she does not see many patients face-to-face. However, Dr. Manon always has patients in mind.
“I feel that maintaining the utmost respect for human life under my practice supersedes anything," Dr. Manon said. “I treat every case as if it were from my own family or loved one. And knowing that my diagnosis contributes to patient care maintains my passion."
Dr. Manon came to Marshfield Clinic Health System after living and studying in Chicago, Illinois. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new food, and anything involving nature, music and art.
