​Kue Her is a board-certified family nurse practitioner in walk-in care. She sees people with cough, congestion, fever, throat pain, ear pain and cold or flu symptoms. She also treats minor injuries and conditions like burns, headaches, skin rashes, urinary symptoms and sprains or strains.​​


She began her health care journey as a certified nursing assistant at 16 years old. “It was during this experience where I discovered a profound passion for caring for others," Her said. “I made a tangible difference in people's lives, which ignited a deep-seated commitment to the field."

Through each advancement in her career, Her discovered a passion for providing comprehensive health care while advocating for health equity for vulnerable populations.

“Understanding and addressing the broader social, economic and environmental factors affecting a patient's well-being leads to more personalized and effective care, ultimately resulting in better health outcomes," Her said.

Her's goal is to actively listen to patient's concerns, understand their motivations and identify challenges to help her create care plans that align with the patient's needs and resources. 

“I hope patients leave their visits feeling valued and heard, with their concerns thoroughly addressed and the opportunity to provide meaningful input in their health care," Her said.

Her earned a Family nurse practitioner post-graduate certificate from Chamberlain University in Downer's Grove, Illinois. Her earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. ​

Her is married with four sons and two dogs.

​Active in the community, Her serves on the Aging and Disability Resource Center's Advisory Committee and Wisconsin's Public Health Council. She is a past board member for Wausau Area Hmong Association (now Hmong American Center) and Marathon County's Board of Health and has volunteered on advisory boards at North Central Health Care.
