Katie Jopp is an occupational therapist who helps patients recover from injury, illness and surgery and those with life-long disabilities. She specializes in movement therapy for patients with Parkinson's disease.
Jopp enjoys working with a patient to determine goals, develop a personalized treatment plan and then help them regain their independence. To do that, communication is key.
“My approach to care is to put the patient first," Jopp said. “Listening goes a long way."
Holistic care is important to Jopp and she uses that philosophy to help get her patients back to doing what they love. She works alongside the patient to determine the concern and the cause.
Jopp earned her master's in occupational therapy and bachelor's in rehabilitation psychology at University of Wisconsin-Madison.
In her spare time, she enjoys fishing, horseback riding and parenting.
