As a board-certified family nurse practitioner with Care My Way, Kathleen Kaczmarowski provides flexible, convenient and quick care for common health conditions such as sinus infection, athlete's foot, swimmer's ear, mild thermal burns and more.
“The aspect of practice I enjoy the most is when an individual understands the pathophysiology of the ailment and what he or she can do to make it better," she said.
Kathleen has nursing in her lineage. Her maternal grandmother was a nurse in the 1920s and her parents met in nursing school. At a young age she knew it was her obvious career choice.
“I strongly believe that health care is a right, not a privilege," she said. “Every individual is a human being who deserves respect in one way or another, myself included. People have choices, and that is okay. I often times will educate individuals the how's and the why's in treatment."
Kathleen cares for patients of all ages and varying conditions. She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing and followed up with a master's degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
“I decided to become certified in family practice for so many reasons," she said. “The family as a core influences how one perceives and practices health. So many factors such as economics, experience and beliefs – to name a few – mold that perception. If there is a way I can influence the family's experience in a positive manner, hopefully that will improve their willingness to practice healthy habits whether it's preventive, problem-solving, or understanding the situation to help make better choices."
Kathleen and her husband have three children and multiple pets. “Our family life is a source of pleasant chaos," she said. In her free time, she enjoys reading, music and relaxing with her family.
