Dr. Joseph Chojnacki (pronounced
cho-NOCK-ee) is a clinical psychologist
who focuses on adults with a wide
variety of psychological issues.
“There are all kinds of ways to help people,”
he said. “I look at each person’s unique
circumstances and work collaboratively
with them on a treatment plan.”
Patients can develop psychological
distress arising from such varied reasons
as coping with chronic illness, difficulty
with insomnia and relationship problems.
Dr. Chojnacki coordinates Behavioral
Health’s psychological testing program,
which includes computerized programs
that help provide a profile early, resulting
in more efficient and effective care. He
also is the department’s liaison with Sleep
Medicine. That’s key, because insomnia is
often related to psychological problems.
He and his wife, Jodi, came to Marshfield
in 1996 when they were newly married
and ready to start a family. The small
community’s overall quality of life including
strong educational systems, exceptional
access to quality health care, reasonable
cost of living, and a safe community
appealed to them and continues to today.
He enjoys family time with their two
children, traveling, biking, and enjoying
the outdoors.
