As a nuclear medicine physician, Dr. John
Dahlin specializes in using small amounts
of radioactive material to diagnose and
treat diseases.
His interests include PET
scans, cancer and rare, challenging cases
involving specialty exams performed only a
few times a year.
Dr. Dahlin takes pride in explaining
treatment and tests to patients so they
understand the disease process and how to
proceed with medical care as a team.
“I believe in treating patients with the
same detailed care and providing the most
accurate information, as I would provide for
a family member,” he said.
Dr. Dahlin earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies. He completed nuclear medicine residency at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) fellowship at University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
After practicing in Marquette, Michigan for six years, he joined Marshfield Clinic in 2015 to be closer to his wife’s hometown of Merrill. Dr. Dahlin hails from Chicago.
He enjoys watching movies and loves the outdoors and taking road trips with his wife and five children. Their last yearly trip took them 6,700 miles to 22 states and four Canadian provinces in three weeks.
