Dan Buss can empathize with many of
the patients he sees as a licensed clinical
social worker.
“I know what it’s like to live in a pressure
cooker of family dysfunction and stress.
That’s pretty much why I decided to
become a social worker,” he said. “With
every patient, I look for their good
qualities and strengths and I’m not
judgmental. I want to know where
they have been, where they are now
and where they want to go. Having
a faith-based counseling approach is
appreciated by many of my patients.”
He said he finds it rewarding when a
patient he has worked with is able to
be successful, with an improved sense
of coping skills, peace and joy.
Raised in Milwaukee, Dan earned his master’s degree in social work in his hometown at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He has worked
in the field for more than 35 years.
Dan enjoys watching all Wisconsin college and professional sports teams, and he plays tennis when he has a chance. What Dan enjoys most is spending time with his wife and family.
