Dr. Cesar Sanchez Padron enjoys teaching patients about their treatment in a patient-centered team approach.
“Adapt to every patient so they understand all aspects of their care. Be compassionate. Treat everyone as I would like my family to be treated," he said.
As a neurohospitalist, Dr. Sanchez Padron treats patients hospitalized due to ischemic strokes, intracranial hemorrhages and other neurological conditions, including seizures, headaches, neuroimmune disorders, neuropathies and neuromuscular disorders, dementia and cognitive disorders and movement disorders.
Dr. Sanchez Padron chose neurology to “serve the ones that are more in need and to help them understand their problems while providing them relief and peace."
Dr. Sanchez Padron enjoys watching a patient become more at ease after having a better understanding of their problem and then seeing them improve after an appropriate treatment. He opted to specialize in vascular neurology due to the advances in treatment.
“Strokes now are being treated more than ever, decreasing a lot of disability and giving patients a new hope," he said.
Dr. Sanchez Padron earned his medical degree from Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He completed a neurology residency and vascular neurology fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee.
In his free time, Dr. Sanchez Padron enjoys spending time with his wife and family.
