After a previous career as a high school science teacher, Dr. Bruce McHam chose to pursue medicine to engage in lifelong learning, while continuing to serve the greater community.
He received his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center – School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at West Virginia University – School of Medicine in Morgantown, West Virginia and completed his fellowship in pediatric radiology at the University of Colorado – Children's Hospital in Aurora, Colorado.
As a radiologist, with a focus on pediatrics, he sees patients for congenital and acquired conditions that affect patients from birth to adulthood. He specializes in diagnosing and treating injuries and diseases using medical imaging such as ultrasounds and fluoroscopy.
“I want to provide accurate, insightful and timely imaging interpretation to improve the lives of patients and their families," said Dr. McHam.
He's especially passionate about his career in radiology because there is always something new to see, learn and teach others about.
