Brittany Nikolay is a physical therapist who helps patients with a variety of orthopedic concerns and wheelchair evaluations. She's certified in the LSVT BIG program to help patients with Parkinson's disease recalibrate their movements and improve walking and balance.
Nikolay's interest in physical therapy began when her father suffered an accident that changed his life. His need for specialized therapy following a spinal cord injury introduced Nikolay to the incredible work done by providers in this field.
Seeing patients at all levels of recovery requires Nikolay to develop extremely personalized treatment. She emphasizes communication in the process of creating a care plan.
“It's so important to listen to patients and incorporate their goals to help return them to their prior level of function," said Nikolay. “I love treating and meeting different people and building those connections."
Nikolay earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, playing games and going for walks with her family.
