“My goal is to provide the best quality of care to my patients helping them get back to doing what they enjoy most as they progress through their recovery process."
Dr. Anna Rinholen is a board-certified occupational therapist and part of an outpatient neuro-rehabilitation team. She treats patients with neurological conditions including cerebral vascular accidents, essential tremors, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries and sensory processing issues.
“I use an interactive, flexible and supportive role termed 'therapeutic use of self,' which I feel is of the utmost importance when providing patient care," Dr. Rinholen said.
This approach allows her to collaborate with the patient to reinforce their motivation to actively return to their daily life. Ultimately, Dr. Rinholen's goal for her patients is for them to be as independent as possible to engage in meaningful tasks and roles at home, work and in the community.
For her own self-care, Dr. Rinholen enjoys spending time with her significant other and his sons, as well as family and friends. She enjoys traveling locally and across the country, helping out at her family dairy farm and gardening. She is also an avid reader and enjoys ongoing education.
