“I look forward to building relationships with patients and
empowering them to improve their health and live healthier lives.”
Amber Damrau appreciates the “people" side of health care. She enjoys getting to know patients because everyone has a unique story. Her career has been on numerous paths that ultimately led to family medicine.
“My nursing career includes working in the emergency department, ICU, cardiology, and on the UW Health Med Flight pediatric/neonatal team," said Damrau. “Throughout these experiences, I have found my passion for providing care to people of all ages."
It's all about trust when interacting with patients, notes Damrau. She believes close relationships, centered on empowering patients and keeping them informed, can and will lead to better health outcomes.
“I'm passionate about helping people understand their health care through a patient and family-centered holistic care approach," said Damrau. “I'm committed to knowing that patients' needs and questions are answered, and they fully understand what is going on with their health."
Damrau is a Tigerton native. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, horseback riding and helping out on her family's dairy farm.
