“Making sure everyone is comfortable before they leave the room is important to me.”
As a pediatrician, Dr. Aleesa Fedt takes a preventive approach to your child's health. She provides well-child visits, treats children when they are sick and manages chronic or ongoing medical conditions.
When providing this care, Dr. Fedt feels it is important that a child's parents are part of the team.
“You definitely have to work together as a team with the parents. I always try to ask what their expectation or hope was for the visit. If we are unable to do what they hoped for, I make a point to explain why I am not going in that direction," Dr. Fedt said. “It is really important that parents and patients be on board with the recommended treatment or course of action."
Dr. Fedt knew she wanted to be a pediatrician during her pediatric rotation in medical school.
“I was the happiest during my pediatric rotation. I've always enjoyed working with kids and they say the cutest things that can brighten your day," Dr. Fedt said.
Dr. Fedt attended medical school at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Sint Maarten. She completed her pediatric residency at Marshfield Children's Hospital.
She and her husband enjoy spending time together in the outdoors of central Wisconsin camping, hiking, rock climbing and snowboarding.
